I AM JENNY ZHAO

I build thoughtful, scalable systems at the intersection of data, AI, and human-centered design.

About Me

Background

I’m a data analyst and engineer with a background in computer science, currently working in healthcare analytics. My work focuses on building systems that make complex data easier to understand, more reliable, and ultimately more useful for real-world decisions.

I’m particularly interested in the intersection of data, AI, and human experience — not just how systems work, but how they’re used. Whether I’m designing anomaly detection frameworks, building scalable data pipelines, or experimenting with AI-driven applications, I care about creating solutions that are both technically sound and practical.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring creative projects — from interactive systems to hands-on building — and I’m always looking for ways to combine technical and creative thinking in what I make.

How I approach my work

  • Build for real use, not just technical correctness
I focus on making systems that are actually useful and usable, not just technically impressive.
  • Make complexity understandable
Whether it’s data, systems, or AI, I care about making things easier to interpret and act on.
  • Design for scale from the start
I think about how systems will grow — not just how they work today.
  • Balance structure with creativity
I enjoy working at the intersection of technical systems and creative problem solving.
  • Keep improving through iteration
The best systems come from continuous refinement and feedback, not one-time solutions.
